Excerpt from a book I finished reading on vacation: "I struggle to always and actually keep in step with the Spirit, moment by moment. To submit and give up everything truly is radical and terrifying. However, when I think deeply about it, walking in my own wisdom, contrary to the Spirit's leading, is even more frightful. Though I struggle, I know that ultimately I want nothing more than to live in total surrender and abandonment to the Spirit every moment I have left on this earth. a few pages later..... when a person is habitually and actively submitted to the Spirit, what comes out of his or her life is the fruit of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not - cannot - lead you into sin. If the Holy Spirit is in you, as a believer, then when you sin you are not listening to the Spirit's leading.(ouch) (Forgotten God, Francis Chan)

Ephesians 4:30 - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Finishing up lessons for the next two weeks on Lamentations and Ezekiel. Trying very hard to cram two weeks of work into one week. Been mostly successful. Funny how some things just aren't as important to complete as the hours wind down....lol Looking forward to some time away. Florida....here I come.

I'm back! After realizing from a new friend that I hadn't blogged since late October, I decided to come back. In Sunday School, the kids learned about Jeremiah. The 2nd of the major prophets. How amazing it would have been to have God speak directly to you. Jeremiah 16:19 springs to my mind: O Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, Our fathers possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good. We serve an Awesome God.

Fall is upon us. It is awesome to view the creation that God has given to us. The colors are fabulous! It is a reminder that no matter the changes in our lives, God will be glorified.

The Rock has officially opened! Relying on Christ the King is the most important thing one can do ilife. 2nd service in Children's Ministry has been renamed he Rock and are hoping to instill in the children the life long desire to recognize Chirst as the King of their lives. Come on downstairs and check out the wonderful painting Pat Divine did on the rocks and Ericka Frances did on the trees!

One year down! On August 7, 2008 my family and I moved to Washington to begin our ministry at New Hope Christian Church. The year has been filled with many wonderful blessings and times of trials. I feel very blessed that God has sent me people whom I needed when I needed them. He is an awesome and amazing God. He has a plan for each of our lives...we just have to get out of the boat!
